Incubatee Selection Criteria and Process

Eligibility

  • Young innovators, aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups, alumnus and budding graduates having proposals with social, economic and strategic impact
  • Organisations/Enterprises associated with research and innovations
  • Already registered/to be registered under companies Act – 2013

Incubatee Selection Process

  • Pre Application Questionnaire (PAQ)
  • Innovation Assessment
  • Evaluation of project feasibility (including technical business and financial viability)
  • Declaration from innovators/entrepreneurs that they are the creators/owners of the innovation
  • Screening and Presentation in front of a panel of experts (incubatee selection committee)
  • Selection by the panel of experts (incubatee selection committee) for incubation

Incubation Programme – Plan

An innovator may be incubated at three different stages namely ideation, Validation and Early Traction. The below table depicts the incubation process. The incubation programme starts with pre incubation and ends with graduation. The total duration would be 0-18/24 months based on the stages of incubates. During the incubation programme the incubator team provides necessary supports such as innovation assessment, prototype development, business plan elaboration, business modelling, mentoring, start-up recognition, funding access and technology commercialisation to the incubates. The detailed incubation plan is depicted below:
